What began as a small wooden roadside buffet has grown into one of Hungary’s most renowned traditional restaurants, attracting both Hungarian and international visitors. Tanyacsárda’s outstanding quality has been recognised with numerous prestigious awards, including Hungary’s Traditional Restaurant of the Year, Countryside Restaurant of the Year, and the Hungarian Tourism Quality Award. Our menu features classic Hungarian dishes alongside seasonal specialties and signature creations by our master chefs. In the evenings, the atmosphere is enriched by live traditional Gypsy music, creating a truly memorable dining experience.

For more than three decades, the New Tanyacsárda has been offering unforgettable experiences just one hour from Budapest. Set within a 50-hectare estate, this unique destination combines Hungarian gastronomy, equestrian traditions, and the beauty of nature, making it an ideal attraction for families, groups, and international visitors alike.
Here, guests can experience much more than authentic Hungarian cuisine. Spectacular horse shows, traditional folklore performances, and the popular Folkshow provide fascinating insights into Hungary’s rich cultural heritage.

Our equestrian centre is home to Hungarian Warmblood and Lipizzaner horses. From the covered grandstand, hundreds of spectators can enjoy the famous Hungarian horsemen demonstrating breathtaking equestrian skills, including the spectacular Puszta Five, four-in-hand carriage driving, traditional herd driving, donkey training, and many other exciting performances.
Visitors can also discover Hungary’s native animal breeds throughout the estate, including Hungarian Grey Cattle, Racka sheep, donkeys, and a traditional farmyard with turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, and other domestic animals.
Those wishing to spend more time enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Hungarian countryside are welcome to stay in our comfortable accommodation. The Tanyacsárda Guesthouse and the Gerendaház (Log House) offer a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.
