Városföld is located on the Danube–Tisza Interfluve, approximately halfway between the region’s two major towns, Kecskemét and Kiskunfélegyháza, along Main Road 5.
The name “Városföld” first appeared in the second half of the 18th century and was originally used to refer to the south-eastern outskirts of Kecskemét.
Until the mid-20th century, the history of Városföld was closely intertwined with that of Kecskemét. In 1952, when it became an independent municipality, it was administratively separated from the town. Városföld is therefore a relatively young settlement without a long independent historical past.
Despite its young age, the village offers a wide range of services for both local residents and visitors, thanks to its dynamic development.
Through the dedication and hard work of the people of Városföld, together with the active contribution of its thriving local business community, the village has been able to create and preserve its values, maintain its traditions and continuously improve its living environment.
